Once again Diana teamed up with some very generous local business, for 12 days of really fantastic giveaways!  There was an outpouring of local businesses wanting to help spread Holiday Cheer!  Which meant there were multiple days that two prizes were won!  What an amazing community we live in!  This Giveaway would not have been possible without the generosity of these following Creston businesses.

They are a family-run beekeeping operation focused on honey and pollination services, as well as the production of natural honey and beeswax-based cosmetics. Amanda and Jeff are passionate about their bees, and practice healthy, holistic beekeeping. They take a calm and thoughtful approach to producing their honeys and hive products.

Ken and Carol opened the storefront of Red Barn Farm downtown Creston in 2020, but had been growing seedlings from home since 2017. They are passionate about everything from gardening to animals to homesteading, and it shows! Together they strive to make a happy and welcoming atmosphere for all who come in. Lark Coffee Roasters has a great respect for the many hands and hearts that work to create a cup of coffee, those who grow, process, ship and so much more. They are thrilled to be a tiny part of that chain. Owned and operated by Ilana Cameron who discovered roasting coffee is her life’s passion. Ilana sources seasonally and with an eye on bringing delicious and delightful flavours to your cup. Lark buys their coffee from single farms, women-owned farms, co-ops and indigenous producers. The coffee they buy is almost all grown organically, and would note if it is not. Lark won third place in the Forward Lottery roasting competition. Tim’s Fish & Chips is a little Fish and Chips shop in Creston where you definitely get your bang for your buck! The portions are huge, and so tasty! Dustin Rogers started his construction company in Creston 15 years ago, building and renovating homes. He believes in completing each job with quality workmanship. With an artistic eye and a love to create, Dustin builds timber framed gazebos, pavilions, and entryways, custom furniture, cutting boards, cabinets, and dining tables. He also builds and fixes guitars. As much as possible, in his furniture and timber work, Dustin uses traditional joinery such as Mortis and Tenon and Dovetail joints. On the 12th Day of Christmas WENDY FRANZ ART gave to me a Framed Original Painting!  Winner – Kelly Peters!

For as long as Wendy can remember she has had a pencil or paintbrush in her hand. As a professional graphic artist, she has always had a passion for art and design and now dedicates her life to her artwork.
Growing up in the Kootenay Region of British Columbia, Canada has influenced her art, incorporating the beauty of both animals and nature in her work. Her passion for art, love for colour and unique style has helped her stand out, making it possible to sell her work abroad. Her artwork can be found as far away as Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
As a self-taught artist, Wendy is always experimenting with new mediums, loving the process of learning with a continually changing portfolio. She works in several different mediums including acrylic, fluid art, watercolour, mixed media, colour pencil and resin. Her creations range from realism to abstract.
